Portrait of the Artist – Greenwich Advocate

Marian “Bing” Bingham knew from an early age that she would become an artist. “It was a family thing,” she says, “I was always surrounded by art.” The inspiration for her latest work, a four-panel landscape painting titled “Seasons,” came on the 10th anniversary of 9/11. It features turbulent clouds that play out across winter, spring, summer and fall.

Paintings Released!

The week before the exhibit “6 American Artists” opened in Paris, the paintings that had been seized in Serbia were released and were able to be a part of the exhibits in Paris, France and Assisi, Italy.

Bing’s Art Seized in Serbia

On November 16, 2011 several works by Marian Bingham were on their way to Romania as part of a traveling show, when they were seized by the Serbian government.  As of today she is still awaiting the return of her work.

UNDER 500 exhibit at Bendheim Gallery, Greenwich, CT

As part of the UNDER 500 exhibit, Marian Bingham’s work is being shown at:

 Bendheim Gallery, 299 Greenwich Avenue, Greenwich CT

Marian Bingham at Greenwich Arts Council

Marian is showing prints, both monotypes and etchings.  The pieces selected for this exhibit and sale, 30% which will go to benefit the Greenwich arts Council, are priced and available for under $500.

Among the other represented artists will be work by William Balley, Frank Burros, Marc Chagall, Paul Davis, Jim Dine, David Hockney, Toulouse Letrec, Henry Moore, and Pablo Picasso.
